MyKeyboard Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how FiveSheep OÜ processes information when you use the MyKeyboard iOS app and its keyboard extension (“MyKeyboard”).

Privacy at a Glance

• MyKeyboard does not collect or transmit the text you type into other apps. Search terms you deliberately enter into GIF or Sticker search are sent only to KLIPY.
• The keyboard extension sends no analytics data to Amplitude.
• The main app sends limited, pseudonymous feature-usage events to Amplitude's EU service.
• If you use GIF or Sticker search, your device sends the search term and the requests needed to provide the feature directly to KLIPY.
• Error reports are never sent automatically. You decide whether to send one.

Information MyKeyboard Does Not Collect

Except for a term you deliberately enter into GIF or Sticker search, MyKeyboard does not collect, store, or transmit the content you type into other apps with the keyboard. This includes:

• Individual keystrokes and typed words
• Passwords, messages, or other text you enter
• Applied suggestions or corrections
• Personal dictionary content

MyKeyboard has no user accounts. FiveSheep does not use MyKeyboard data to build advertising profiles and does not sell your personal data.

Information We Process

1. Pseudonymous App Usage Analytics

The main MyKeyboard app uses Amplitude, Inc. to help us understand which parts of the app are useful and where the app can be improved. The keyboard extension itself sends no data to Amplitude.

The analytics data sent by the main app is limited to:

• A random installation identifier that is not connected to an account, name, or email address and changes when you delete and reinstall the app
• Feature-usage events, such as which app tabs are opened, whether a paywall was presented, whether Pro was purchased, or whether a theme was created or applied

These events do not contain keystrokes, typed words, text content, GIF or Sticker search terms, or other sensitive content. We do not use analytics to follow you across other apps, websites, devices, or app installations.

Although this data does not directly identify you and is designed to be anonymous from FiveSheep's perspective, an installation identifier and technical connection information can be considered pseudonymous personal data under EU law. We therefore apply the protections described in this Policy to it.

Purpose: To measure feature usage, diagnose product-level problems, and improve MyKeyboard.

Legal basis: Our legitimate interests in understanding and improving MyKeyboard (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR). We limit the events to low-risk product interactions and do not include typed content or use the data for targeted advertising. You have the right to object to this processing as described below.

Recipient and location:Amplitude, Inc. acts as our analytics service provider and processor. Our Amplitude project is configured for Amplitude's EU data region, with analytics data stored and processed on EU-based servers. See Amplitude's Privacy Notice and security and privacy information.

2. GIF and Sticker Search Through KLIPY

MyKeyboard integrates KLIPY, a service operated by KIKLIKO, Inc., to provide GIFs and Stickers. This feature requires your device to communicate directly with KLIPY's API.

When you use the feature, MyKeyboard sends only the requests needed to browse, search for, retrieve, and display GIFs or Stickers. For a search, this includes the search term you enter. FiveSheep does not add your keystrokes, other typed text, or Amplitude installation identifier to these requests.

Like any Internet service, KLIPY necessarily receives your IP address and technical request information. KLIPY states that it may collect IP addresses, search history, viewed content, and service or device diagnostic information. KLIPY determines how it processes information it receives and may use it for the purposes described in its own policy, including operating and improving its service, security, analytics, localization, and advertising. FiveSheep does not receive or control KLIPY's logs.

Search terms can reveal personal or sensitive information depending on what you type. Do not include information in a GIF or Sticker search that you do not want to send to KLIPY.

Purpose: To provide the GIF and Sticker feature you request.

Legal basis: Processing is necessary to provide the feature at your request and perform our contract with you (Article 6(1)(b) GDPR). KLIPY processes information under its own privacy policy and is independently responsible for that processing.

Recipient and location: KIKLIKO, Inc. is based in the United States. Using the feature may therefore result in information being processed outside the European Economic Area. KLIPY describes its data practices, privacy contacts, and EU representative in the KLIPY Privacy Policy.

3. Optional Error Reports and Support Messages

If an error occurs, MyKeyboard may give you the option to send an error report. Reports are never sent automatically. You control whether to send the report.

The generated report is limited to the exact error message provided by the Swift error object and limited technical debug information. It does not intentionally include keyboard input. If you send the report by email or add information yourself, we also receive the sender information and additional content you choose to provide.

Purpose: To respond to your request, investigate the reported problem, and improve app reliability.

Legal basis: Processing is necessary to provide support at your request and perform our contract with you (Article 6(1)(b) GDPR), and for our legitimate interest in diagnosing and fixing errors (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR).

Retention

• Amplitude analytics: We retain pseudonymous usage events only for as long as reasonably necessary to understand product usage and improve MyKeyboard. We periodically review the data and delete or anonymize it when it is no longer needed. Deleting and reinstalling MyKeyboard stops use of the previous installation identifier and creates a new one.
• KLIPY requests: FiveSheep does not receive or keep a copy of your KLIPY search history. KLIPY controls its own retention as described in its privacy policy.
• Error reports and support messages: We keep them only as long as needed to investigate the issue, respond to you, maintain a useful record of the fix, or comply with a legal obligation. We then delete or anonymize them.

Sharing and Disclosure

We disclose information only to Amplitude and KLIPY as described above, when you direct us to do so, or when disclosure is required by applicable law or necessary to establish, exercise, or defend legal claims. We do not sell personal data.

International Data Transfers

MyKeyboard analytics are sent to Amplitude's EU data region. Amplitude, Inc. is a US company and may use subprocessors. Amplitude states that its data processing terms include applicable safeguards such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses and that it participates in the EU-US Data Privacy Framework.

KLIPY is operated from the United States. When you choose to use GIF or Sticker features, requests are sent directly to KLIPY and may be processed outside the EEA under the arrangements described in KLIPY's Privacy Policy.

Your Rights Under the GDPR

If the GDPR applies to you, you may have the right to:

• Access personal data we hold about you
• Correct inaccurate or incomplete personal data
• Request deletion of your personal data
• Restrict certain processing
• Object to processing based on our legitimate interests, including app analytics
• Receive data you provided to us in a portable format where the right to data portability applies
• Withdraw consent at any time where processing is based on consent, without affecting earlier lawful processing
• Lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority

MyKeyboard has no accounts, and we cannot identify you from analytics data by name or email address. This may limit our ability to locate data in response to a request unless you can provide the relevant installation identifier. We will not collect additional information solely to identify you.

To exercise your rights or object to analytics processing, email help@fivesheep.co. We may request information reasonably necessary to verify and fulfill your request. We generally respond within one month as required by the GDPR.

You may also lodge a complaint with the Estonian Data Protection Inspectorate (Andmekaitse Inspektsioon) or the supervisory authority in the EU or EEA country where you live, work, or believe an infringement occurred.

Automated Decision-Making

FiveSheep does not use the information described in this Policy for automated decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects on you.

Security

We minimize the information MyKeyboard sends, restrict analytics to non-sensitive app events, separate analytics from typed content, and use encrypted HTTPS connections when communicating with service providers. No method of electronic transmission or storage is completely secure, but we use appropriate technical and organizational measures for the nature and risk of the processing.

Children's Privacy

MyKeyboard does not require an account and does not knowingly collect typed content from children. The same limited processing described in this Policy applies to all users. A parent or guardian should supervise a child's use of the optional GIF and Sticker search because search terms are sent to KLIPY.

Apple Services

Apple may separately process information when it distributes MyKeyboard, handles a purchase, or provides iOS services. FiveSheep does not receive your payment card details. Apple's processing is governed by Apple's Privacy Policy.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy when MyKeyboard or applicable law changes. We will publish the updated Policy on this page and change the “Last updated” date. If a change materially affects how we process personal data, we will provide additional notice where required by law.
